    Wanted to verify something about Tyrion and the dagger from AGOT so I googled and went on his page in the ASOIAF wiki.

    I scrolled down and an image hits me with 'The loveless marriage between _______ and ______'. :(

    Spoliered so hard, raging. Hope it happens in this season so I don't have to regret it too much.

    A part is thinking 'Fuck it now, will just read all the books'.

    Watching the TV Show before reading the books is the most retarded way of doing things. You'll be so confused. How enjoyable is it through a book when you already know what happens?

    Lol, making it sound like a month's work, by the time Series 10 of the show is done, you'll still be reading. Other GoT readers to confirm.

    I agree that reading the books first is better. It helps you follow what happens in the story better and you can place the characters easier.

    I finished books 1, 2, 3 and 4 in about 2 months.

    Although when I read a book I typically do nothing but read that book during any free time.

    Yeh same. I'd waited until season 2 had finished before reading the 2nd book, but then couldn't help myself and read 3 & 4 within the next month or so.

    The first book took the longest for me as I had seen everything that had happened already. After that though I smashed through them. That's why watching first and reading later is poo.

    Yeah, I read very fast and can get hooked too but I also have a thing where I get irrationally annoyed with writing styles to an insane level and while Martin's story and imagination are obviously first class, his economy of thought isn't the greatest which would be a massive demotivater for me from finishing the books.

    I'm a fucking slow reader but I smashed Got in like a week (on holidays admittedly, but still)
    CoK took me maybe 2 months, probably same with SoS.
    FfC took me aaaages, like probably close to a year, DwD will be even longer considering I haven't touched it for a month or 2 now.
