Was just the only way you could make it happen in regualr season without affecting teams chances too much... Still a gun idea IMO
Which is precisely why I'm so dead against it ever happening in the regular season. There's no non-dire way to do it like that. If we have a Test series, it'll be after the PC. The risk of having one, though, is having newer members completely lose interest in CricSim due to a long rep season they aren't involved in, which is why we don't have them currently. Those are the options though. Having Tests in the regular season, cramming three rounds into one and having players miss club games is not one of the options.
Unless you had it during the \_/... games which the Test players wouldnt need to play in anyway as they are basically guaranteed a spot...
Yeh that all makes sense. For me Having it during the Care Cup would work? There are normally 3/4 rounds? 1 test for each round + as it's the pre season competition it'll actually keep new members interested as they might get more game time. Plus the only players that'd be missing would be dead certs (if there are in the test team they are in their club team!) so they can try out different combos. Apart from then there really isn't a good time to do it
I should savour this, might be only time I ever suggest something half decent Would be good. Don't see why anyone would not want it to go ahead if it took place then and only then.
The only thing is, it'd be kind of odd going into Tests cold with no match practice or gauge of form. But I still like it. I think we'll play someone less confusing this time though.. someone who doesn't have a CricSim province by the same name. West Indies, perhaps.
COuld just take their form from the PC? Rewards good performances there. And take the form of the opposition from their last series in RL.
Haha, well if Cricsim want to guarentee the win then Windies would be a good place to go. Or the Sub continent. However Gemmel would be constantly claiming to bowl there, a toughie South Africa sounds best to me Yeh the match practice thing may seem strange. Though there oculd be a possibles probables warm up before hand?
South Africa, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Bangladesh and India... even if Shri wants a team Asia. Think we should wait to see who's playing in tests come the time it would be simmed. Or maybe who isn't playing tests. Playing against Kallis would be pretty gun.
