Ye indeed... Could give the players from the RL nations form from the last Test they played in RL... would make watching a random Bangladesh Sri Lanka series more interesting too.
To be totally honest, I think it's going a bit too far. I like the idea of a one off, 'best of the best' type game. That's about it.
I still think it'd be great. YOu could have one tour during the CC one in the first half of the season adn one in the second. Would add a great dimension to Cricsim IMO
Cribb thinking quiet on the idea... I'd just like to see an elitest Cricsim XI... Would make performing well in the PC much more worthwhile.
If we had a Test series, I'd just tack it onto the end of the PC. It'd drag out the representative season a bit though, which is why it got scrapped in the first place. A "forum of Origin" game has never been played as anything more than a pre-season trial to test out the season's DB updates though. I could see merit in it, even if just as a one-off game after the PC final.
Yeh, you would have dicussion on who would be staking a claim to the next tour. Also you could be a little more cut throat as basically the whole of CS are vying to play for the one team. Also in terms of Batting and Bowling Rankings they could have a higher importance so ALC= 0.6 BS= 1 Rep= 1.4?(guess) Test=1.8
I think what Luffers was trying to say was... that it could all be simmed in one round with a 3 match series... so that other people still play their games and hence not get bored of the extended break and the noobs wont leave. It would also mean it wouldnt add a huge amount of time but would mean more time simming of games for you.
Not possible for players to play more than one five-day game and two one-day games in a round according to CricSim law. I reckon it'd be stupid releasing three results at once anyway and yes, it'd mean I'd have to sim the games.
Yeh exactly. It'd be great to see. Just would be awesome to have a proper Cricsim Test side playing proper matches. Even if it was once a season.
I still think you're going too far into this little idea, but the standard of Tests wouldn't be much higher than the standard of the PC IMO. Too much of a difference in your system. If the game happens though, not bothered if it even has any sort of impact on rankings.
Fair enough, don't think too many people would be annoyed at that though, only problem is an extra three games for you to sim. THe positive side would just be how awesome it is. You could also stick on the end of the player side bar CS Caps: 2 That'd look awesome

I'm actually getting a little annoyed with the fact that this has turned into a "put forward your crazy ideas for the rep structure and then argue with me when I tell you it's not going to happen" thread...
No point putting forward a half baked idea, plus that was only a suggestion. Not an order. Just my thoughts as they come to me.
Well, not really. Tests may be back at some point. There's absolutely no chance of them being midseason with players missing club games and me releasing three Tests worth of results in one round. There's more chance of me waking up in a bad mood tomorrow morning and just deleting the forum than that.
