I don't know if Riddy is suss or not yet. Will have to observe more. But don't like Random lynches just for the sake of it, unless someone is trolling etc...
If you look at it in a neutral point of view, it isn't all that random. If Riddy turns out to be mafia we have leads to work on the next round. You and Speirz would both be suspects although not proven guilty and Heef may be innocent. If Riddy turns out to be innocent we would know that Speirz and possibly you are innocent as well. If we lynch no one, we would know nothing next round.
If i was mafia and Riddy was my fellow mafia there was no way i would go all out to defend him tbh. I disagree that even if Riddy is inno and lynched, just based on that Speirz and me will be proved Inno either. The Cops/Tracker/Docs/Vig whoever is there, which i presume there should be, can do their thing in the night and we'll get a better idea tomorrow.
Day 1 is over. Town decided not to lynch despite minor resistance. Please send me your night orders. Night talking is allowed. And btw, please don't be a shunt and say stuff like "Town is so dire" if you're not a player. That includes tutors.
Good decision not to Lynch - I am not really sure why Heef suggested it but I am fairly new and don't have the background from previous games so perhaps there was good reason.
there wasnt a good reason, he was just trolling, trying to get people to make a mistake and say something stupid.
NO LYNCH IS NEVER GOOD. NEVER. It gives scum a free passage through to the night phase without pressure. It's the town's only weapon unless there's a vig who most times ends up being a liability anyway. Lynches aren't random. If anyone actually thinks lynches are in any way random... just lol.
NL is fine but only after lots of discussion, scumhunting etc... and thats only if there are really no leads. No point in walking into the thread, no lynching, and walking out.
How are lynches on day 1 not random? Unless someone makes a drastic mistake and draws suspicion to themselves.
What he's saying is that you're not going to pull a name out of a hat and vote for them - maybe you don't know roles etc but people will still vote based on something eg someone being a bad player. Someone might seem scummy (which means that they look like they're mafia), even slightly, and that makes it not completely random.
Yeah but the point of this exercise is for players to learn to be good players. Lynhcing them just because they're a bad player neither helps the exercise, helps them individually, or helps the team if they are a townie.
Please explain. nah. Whether you're town or mafia, lynching you improves survival chances for the town.
I think lots of people came in and NL'ed because they didn't know how else to play it, and there was a compelling case to do so. I'll hopefully learn how to contribute fully as this goes along.
