This thread makes it sound like the handicapping/scripting issues in this game are horrendous. That alone is enough to turn me off buying it.
As annoying as it can be, the way they have structured the online mode is very addictive. Not only are you playing people, you also have a goal to get promoted to each division so there's incentive too. Speaking of which, by the skin of my teeth I made it to Div 4
Its been like this for 3-4 years now. One thing that I hate about the game is how when you touch someone in the box, they drop and get a penalty. It makes Barca/Madrid/Munich overpowered.
Yeah that shits me. The amount of penalties in this game compared to previous ones seems ridiculously high.
How does offline FUT go? Do you get to select the difficulty? Would seem a waste of time if you could?
Difficulties vary from match to match. One game you'll get a semi pro game, the next it could be world class.
As you progess in Divisions it gets harder obviously. I got to Div 2 before deleting the game and most of the matches are Legendary difficulty with a few Ultimate difficulty matches in there too. I didn't even know FIFA had an Ultimate difficulty until I got to Div 2. It depends what league you pick as well.
Really? I won't lie, I never checked. I always just assumed you wouldn't be able to. Seems absolutely mental if you can. Why would they bother setting difficulties anyway if you can just go change them? You are doing FUT Offline Seasons right? Not just one-off games?
Everytime you advance a season you get to pick a new league from 4-5 options. Those leagues vary in diffculty but should be slightly harder than your previous league (if you got promoted).
I imagine you can increase it but not decrease it. Makes sense. If you're really good you'd probably get more enjoyment out of coasting at pro than just winning 10-0 on Amateur or whatever.
