Reckon he made a massive mistake going for Mangala instead of backing in Nastasic's talents, but apart from that, hard to pinpoint what's gone wrong specifically, what do you reckon?
City got lucky last year with Chelsea/United/Arsenal all struggling and Liverpool being their only challenger to end the season, who themselves got unlucky v Palace and Chelsea.
Can't blame Pellegrini for the signings. Firstly my understanding is that City have 2 directors of football who handle all the recruitment - what Pellegrini's say on that is I'm not sure but he doesn't do the donkey work there. Secondly they've been totally hamstrung this season by their ffp limtiations. Yes I do feel Managala was a total waste of money but even without that transfer they couldn't go in for the likes of Sanchez or Di Maria because they were priced out. They've got a squad who have been carried by Yaya and Aguero and neither have been in any form this year and it's costing them. Now they don't have a Tevez or a Balotelli who have the ability to just ignite a football match by themselves when things are going their way either and really they don't look like a good team at all.
