Troll Warlord is a baws - try him top lane with Spirit Breaker in support. Medusa such a fucking waste to add a new hero.
Medusa has been added new since the last comments on this thread, she is the second latest addition the heroes, Troll being the latest. When SB is supporting me top lane, he is support - not necessarily referring to his proper classification. His stuns work wonders for Troll to finish off.
Neither Medusa nor Troll are "new". Or I could try having a proper support like ES or CM and actually be useful past the first five minutes.
But that's what supports do!!1! Seriously though, the SB player is going to have fun contributing absolutely nothing past 5 minutes, other than feeding.
Knowing what the average SB player is like, he'll hit about 3 then start charging other lanes repeatedly, get himself underlevelled and tower dive repeatedly,then die.
I feel SB is a bit out of place in Dota anyway. His role is definitely as a ganker, but he needs more levels and items to do it as effectively as other gankers like Crixalis or Sven. With champions like those, you can afford to roam between lanes and be underlevelled/underfarmed. With SB though, you just die if you try to gank when you're behind everyone else.
Yeah, but then again for heroes like Sven to hold their own lategame, they need about 7k gold (BKB+Mask of Madness+Boots), and at the same speed Bara can too, as a disruptor.
That's if you want to carry as him. You can support Sven just fine. All you really need is a blink dagger. Anything more becomes luxury.
What do you guys think of Troll? I just palyed him mid vs Husk and ganked him 6 times vs the 2 he got me. After boots, helm of dominator and shadow blade Husk was done, I took him 1 on 1 everytime.
