    Shadab was such a perfect pick structurally for what I was trying to do and I didn't have a contingency plan. There isn't a player on the board who was value available at that pick to play the role I wanted, so I had to change plans :(

    4 weeks ago I thought Weathers was going to be dropped (and rightly so) from the SACAs. He's just extremely lucky that Greg Chappell is from SA and all the blokes scoring runs below him are on the wrong side of 25. Dreadful selection.

    Yeah he maybe could've gone R16 or something but he should not be starting in a CPL side. Woeful pick. It's even worse when you consider he already had 3 openers + Sangakkara in the side too!

    I'm about as much of a diehard South Australian as you can get and I wouldn't have considered taking Weathers this early.

    Then again, any cohesive approach I had has gone out the window, just picking cricketers I find vaguely interesting half the time now

    Frylinck’s a good quality bowler, offers left-arm which the rest of my bowling attack doesn’t and is a reasonable batsman. He played in the same U19 test setup as Rabada so the quality is there.
