    Had to go and watch that tackle on Youtube again. :laugh:

    One thing I noticed that I've never picked up on before was how shit an effort it was from Wesser. When Fittler passes the ball to Byrne Sattler and Wesser are side by side.

    People shit on Byrne saying he got stage fright. I disagree. He'd only just broken a tackle and had to re-accelerate which is more or less why he was caught.

    Obv an awesome effort by Sattler to complete the chase though.

    Sattler slows up and you can tell he's waiting for Byrne to cut back in. Byrne probably just thought he'd burn (:p) some lock forward coming across in cover.

    There was also one the year before in the '02 Chooks v Warriors GF. Richard Vilisanti launched himself headfirst at a prone Fittler which split him and shook him up big time. Adrian Morley took exception to the mis-treatment of his skipper and only minutes later absoluty smashed Vilisanti in a bell-ringer of a tackle.

    The game at that stage was neck and neck but those two incidents fired the Roosters forwards up and from then we started to get on top.

    Randomly the game in 2004 against the Bulldogs comes to mind when we were down 16-0 (which back then was a big lead) and then Morley got sent off by Simpkins for a fucking nothing tackle the guy slipped over and fell into Morley and we massively fired up and came back to win that game.

    Is it Seers or the Halfback (Taylor? or too early for him?) who falls over trying to ankle-tap him.

    The way Albert rolled Seers at the end is what caps it off for mine. Either way though, both incredible

    Seers is the fullback who Mullins originally just steps straight past, gives him 10 or so metres and Seers is at a standing start.
