    I hadn't added you to the database, so I couldn't play you. You'll definitely be in for this week, though we're getting to the stage where there's too many players for reserve grade.

    There are now 152 contracted players.

    90 first team players, and only 30 reserve grade spaces. That means up to 33 players extra.

    Probably means we should have 4 reserve grade teams, but I'm not too sure how to accommodate that with 6 feeder clubs.

    Okay, maybe break the teams up so there is reserves reserves. :lol:

    Looking forward to getting a game, if there are others that deserve a far ahead of me, I couldn't care less.

    Yeah, could have a '3rd grade' comp, or just give the teams with the biggest player pool a stand alone team, and combine the rest.

    It's all fairly even in terms of squad sizes at the moment. And I could do without the extra games tbh. Any extra games will mean no commentary for reserves. Any change will come after the halfway point of the season - which is only 2 rounds away now, I guess.

    Fair enough, maybe make a WHOLE new team and have a reserves there as well and have a bye each week.

    Or two more teams and have no reserves ad no bye?

    Nothing wrong with less commentary if it means more players get a go. Or just cut the commentary back to just 20 minute blocks with score updates? Kinda like Cribb does with Cricsim, just post the scoreboard + info every 15 or 20 minutes.

    The database has 176 Cricsim players - there are 3 new players to add.

    152 are contracted, so there's 27 unsigned.

    There were 206 players who had a post rank at my last check - so guys like Sultan Pepper, Wilson, Freddy and many more who have posted in RU Sim threads, but haven't done a registration.

    6 reserve teams? Yeah - definitely.

    Reserve numbers:

    Spartans - 12
    Sharks - 12
    Canes - 9
    Gamblers - 11
    Crabs - 10
    Vikings - 8

    In theory, that's only another 28 players to get each club a reserve team.

    Gamblers and Crabs togethe

    Yeah, we won't be having a bye.

    What I might do, is if 2 teams hit 32 players then they'll get their own Reserve Side half a season early.

    The other 2 reserve teams will combine two remaining teams. A bit of an incentive to get to 32 contracted players there.

    How many members are there who have filled out registration forms but are currently unsigned? You could always assign fillers for second grade.

    Yeah, there's 27 unsigned players in the database. If guys like Wilson, Freddy, Sultan Pepper and the like did regos, we'd have enough players.
