Yeah that's getting thrashed on XFM, the radio station I listen to in the car here at the moment. Not bad.
I dunno with Muse. I reckon the singing lets it down/ makes the music boring. All the songs of theirs that I do like, all the hardcore fans hate so I dunno.
I find his voice pretty annoying and whiny. He's definitely talented but the way he drags words out grates me. Scored a free ticket to Jurassic 5 last night, not really my type of thing but they were pretty damn good at what they do.
I've never been a Muse fan, caught them at the Leeds Festival one year and they put on a show, can't fault their performance, they just aren't for me (beyond one or two songs). Only festival I'm going to this year is Y Not, which is much smaller than most (think it holds 18,000). Not a brilliant line up, though Snoop Dogg will be fun to see, but its only £90 for the weekend and I've been talked into it....
I've seen both Jurassic 5 and Muse and J5 were much, much better. Odd considering Muse are the best band in the world right now Now that's a good one.
Considering Splendour this yr and staying at an air bnb. Lineup is right up my alley. Death Cab, Ryan Adams, Blur, Dandy Warhols, Florence + The Machine, Smith Street Band, Jenny Lewis, Allday. And so many other acts that aren't favs that I'd really like to see live.
Yeah, I'm pretty likely to be heading along if I can get the time off work. Seems like a good mixture this year between a bunch of bands from headliners right down to almost no-names that I'd be happy to see. Good mix of bands I've seen before that were great and acts that I've never seen as well.
