As for the Season 8 ALC team of the season, I would probably just leave Lukic out TBH. He didn't make an impact with the ball and although he scored a lot of runs, his efforts in terms of hundreds and fifties were matched by others who played less games, and they all averaged more. He arguably had a better season with the bat than Deane but Deane's bowling more than makes up for that as a fifth option. 1. Johnson 2. Morgan 3. Verigotta 4. Masters 5. Fittaman 6. Immanuel 7. Deane 8. Dorn 9. Izett 10. Charles 11. Chung EDIT: Wells is actually worth a shout somewhere too I guess given he averaged 43 with the bat and took 18 wickets at ten.
Yeh but I'm talking about the end of season 6/ start of season 7 team. I was in the Clones team by round 3.
Eggman ahead of Chung IMO, played two less games and took 4 less wickets! At a better average as well.
Nah because that's not the team I'm talking about TBH you'd probably be on that list, but then Toolio would be as well. I never played with you as a Brumbie which is why I didn't include you.
Really don't think Eggman played enough ALC to be a team of the season TBH. There's a reason he dominated so much - he shouldn't have been there.
He played 7 games, that's half a season, plus if the Ravens hadn't of got to the semis they;d of only played 1 more game than him.
Yeah, not enough IMO unless he only played a couple of BS games like say, Immanuel. It'd just seem weird having him there given he's ranked 6th for bowling now..
Well its multiday cricket so you are far less likely to be slogged and a defensive bowler bowls defensively whether bowling at 50mph or 90 mph.
Was there ever any doubt. Who else is actually a good number 3 at ALC. There must of been a solid batter there before i turned up surley?
Brown's a #3 and holds the record for the most ALC runs, IIRC. He didn't have a great Season 8 though.
