  1. Lukic L Popovic

I don't really chuck pies tbh.

    Me > Marcuss.

  2. Baxter MJ Deane

    Also more likely to fail.

  3. BoyBlunder BOY Blunder

but if he fails you're batting 7 anyway.

  4. Baxter MJ Deane

Are half volleys and full tosses really something to brag about? :p

  5. Luffers JRE Luffman

Marcuss just hates being 8. I only put him there as a joke in my team TBH, but the fact that I only ahd 5 players made it obvious that I was joking.

Still I reckon 7 or 8 would be right in the team named.

  6. Luffers JRE Luffman

Was gonna try and find a real life player who does this and show off my cricketing knowledge. I failed.

  7. Baxter MJ Deane

No that's bull shit. He fails and then the pressure's on me because there is **** all to come afterwards. If I was batting 7 with the assuranceof somebody like Lukic still to come it's a different ball game

  8. Callum CJ Laing

If you had Masters and Veri in a line up you would have them the other way around IMO.

  9. Luffers JRE Luffman

Nah, because if you get out then there's loads of pressure on Lukic as there's no-one after him. Your arguement is flawed TBH

  10. Cribbage RG Cribb

    Luke Butterworth says hello.

  11. Luffers JRE Luffman

Knew either yourself or Marcuss would come back with a reply like that! :p

  12. Flack SA Flack

    SA Flack 21 @ 24.90

    Flack > Smith.

J Ono must be a chance of the side, plays ALC all the time, rarely gets a call up to firsts and has a good long record (43.03 with the bat, 110 @ 31.77 with the ball)

  13. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah but I'm less likely to fail. Hence my point about consistency etc.
I'm gun at laying a platform, not ramming home an advantage or rebuilding an innings so don't use me to do so.

  14. Luffers JRE Luffman

We're doing purely season 8 TBH

  15. Luffers JRE Luffman

Can you really back that statement up?

IIRC against QLD you and Callum rebuilt our innings :p

  16. Flack SA Flack

I avged 19 with the ball in ALC in S8, tbh > both of them.

  17. Baxter MJ Deane

Sample size of a season >>>> Sample size of 1 match when using it to back up a statement.
The Brumbies top order was pretty stable, on the instances it crumbled I didn't stick about the game against the TEagles and others to C.
But yeah the lack of a ton proves I'm poor at ramming home an advantage.

  18. Luffers JRE Luffman

Obviously, but as you only batted 5/6 when would you ever be setting up a platform? You'd either be aiding a recovery or going onward with a good start.

  19. Baxter MJ Deane

    Batted 4,5,6 equally tbh.
4 a bit less than the others possibly.

    Game 1-
Slight collapse in at 10-2 recovered to 101-3.
Second innings good start by the top 3 you went on to get 60 odd, building upon the start.

    Game 2
Poor position of 72-3, you helped recover to 185-4 with 59.
Strong start, you carry on the good work with a fifty

    Game 3
Shit first innings, poor start by the rest also
Good start, continued by yourself with another 50

    http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1048

    Game 4
Good start by the team, average contribution by yourself
Helped win the game at the end 18*

    Game 5
Poor start 69-3, you get a duck
Similar start, you hang around for a slight recovery.

    http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1066

    Game 6
95-3 mediocre start, you and Masters recover amazingly to 271.
35-3 dreadful start, you provide stability with 40 to bring home the bacon

    http://www.cricsim.com/site/match.php?id=1100

    Game 7
Decent start of 125-3. You carry it on and see it through with 64*. Unfortunately no support.
Poor start, you put in a mediocre performance.

The first 7 games of this season seem to suggest your good at staging a recovery and carrying on a good start, maybe not to a century but you do seem to play a good role.
