    My only conclusion is that he was chosen for the combination he has with Thaiday, Hodges and Lockyer. Bullshit though, as Gordon or Tonga would have filled the spot adequately.

    I'm fine with Hannant being there. He is clearly the 4th best prop and if they were set on going with Idris on the bench, he was the right man to be picked. The issue with the Qld side is that they will most likely run with Shillo and Myles/ Thaiday on the bench. In that case you'd want a backrower.

    2. Why wouldn't you call up Harrison or Myles, given that: a) they're better, and b) their being 18th man won't mean that they'll miss an important chance to impress for selection elsewhere
