Totally agree with this...why shoulld we agree a release...just because someones bum chum leaves the club and they want to be a sheep and follow. Uh Ohhh....your little master plan f***** up didn't it boy.
Why can't presidents be more like mousey/bedsey it's not as we are half way through the season and it's vital that someone stays so they don't disrup the team.
As long as circumstances have legitimately changed and it's the pre-season, I'm okay with releases. We released Perry to the Crusaders in the pre-season a couple of seasons back, for example. I can't really think of many circumstances that would make me agree to releasing a player once the season had started though. I'd also like to add that I don't think I'd release a player to a club that had a history of holding players against their will, so it could be a bit of a double-edged sword for the Stingrays if they take on this policy - it could cost them as many players as it keeps them in the long run.
Word is Ged wants back into the Green, but doesn't want to leave the 'Rays without a competent back up.
