www.888poker.com are giving away $8 to everyone that signs up, get involved imo. You don't have to give them any credit card details or anything

Gazza, how long did you have to wait for the free $8? I'm bored, so wouldn't mind a free poker tournament.

  4. Gazza GJ Weaver

They gave it to me straight away

Okay, well i'm pretty certain I've used this website before then.

Firstly, my regular username was already taken and I've yet to receive the free $8... oh well

  6. Gazza GJ Weaver

They send you a link to click to collect your $8

Just received two emails with one of them saying this:

Thank you for joining 888poker. We are checking our database and if you are eligible for the registration bonus we will contact you by email within 72 hours.

    Ghey, mine came straight away

Oh well, like I said earlier, I;m pretty sure I've been a member of 888 before. I've been a member of pretty much every poker website out there, so not overly surprised I didn't get it.

Using my free $8 as we speak haha.

Lost all of mine unfortunately, got up to $10 though.

Got up to $31.59 at my peak. Got very unlucky twice in a row and then raged and went stupidly went all in ($14.27) with Ace King hearts before the flop. Got called by 1 guy and he ended up winning with a pair of 4's. All in probably doesn't seem so bad with Ace King suited but I never, ever win when I go all in so it was definitely silly of me :p

  14. brettman135 BR Hall

Haha yeah I seem to get sucked into going all in when I shouldn't

Doing one of their free rolls atm.

There's only 26 people left out of 499 and i'm in 26th place with the lowest stack :p

I'm in the money though so can't complain.

    41-50 gets $2.75
    31-40 gets $3.00
    21-30 gets $3.50
    11-20 gets $4.25
    10 gets $5.00
    9 gets $7.50
    8 gets $10.00
    7 gets $15.00
    6 gets $20.00
    5 gets $27.50
    4 gets $35.00
    3 gets $45.00
    2 gets $75.00
    1 gets $150.00

  16. RyanG R Gee

    I'm gone, finished 25th. Happy with that $3.50 :p

Pissed off a few people by playing the clock all the time waiting for other idiots to get themselves out

  18. mouse MJ Edwards

Haha, it's the best way when you're short stack

  19. RyanG R Gee

I was short stack in 150th place and played the clock all the way to 75th place and then went all in with pocket Aces. Won that hand, got a fair bit of money but was still at the bottom end of the pile and played the clock all the way to 25th place :p

Haha, sounds like your only two options were to fold or to push all in pre flop?

It's probably the best strategy when you're short stack, and when the blinds are going up at a quick rate... It also means, you've got a good chance of either nicking the blinds (which I'm assuming would be a decent return anyway) or a great opportunity to double up if someone calls you
