Shittest crowd for a semi-final... was ~24k, although tbf only 1k were Panfas fans so wasn't the worst atmosphere for a Roosters win. Walsh should seriously run the ball more.... As for Roosters win came all a bit too easy not really gonna take much out of that game imo. Bench was awesome for us but about the only real stand outs along with Pearcey finally starting to take the line on again.
Yeah it was disappointing but it was always going to be that way. Our fans are the laziest ****s. WHoever it is that said it above me, panthers had max 1k supporters though so yeah it was pretty epic sitting around the 4-5 bays drenched with roosters supporters. ****ing awesome atmosphere and I am just sobering up now but **** it is still unbelievable that we have come this far. We didn't play that great, should have put 50 on them and our defense really looked shotty in the middle of the field but the pretenders had nothing. How ****ing awesome were our benchies tonight? Kennedy, JWH and Conn were ****ing excellent. I can't believe what a buy Conn has been, I thought for sure that he was going to be a fulltime Jet this season. I am thankful we have these guys because we do have quite a problem atm with FPN, the guy made 2 hitups all night, he clearly is not handling this respiratory problem very well. I also thought Anasta had a great game in attack, especially the tries he set up. He was the man behind the first try, he called for that ball and a great ball to mini in the end to snuff out any chance for the Penruff. Still can't believe we are 1 game away. I have already booked my flights, they cost me quite a bit but I don't care, I am ready to go! ****ing can't wait! I can already tell you now there is going to be quite a lot of Roosters travelling up. Just the 1 person alone who is buying my ticket is getting about 30. We had about 7k in round 20 and from what I gathered when I was there, most of them were Queenslanders so hopefully we can at least double it.
Still one to go tbh.... yours. Agreed. He rarely runs the ball but when he does he always looks dangerous, will be something I would imagine he works on in the off-season. That and his long passing game. Reckon next season will be different though with a more creative half next to him.
There is still one left, and they have drawn the chokers too. As I said before though, I'd now be happy for any of the remaining teams to the win the comp for differing reasons, so I can just enjoy the final series.
Haha i remember when they announced the penrith lineup and had purtell in the second row we all started laughing and i was thinking about how raged flack would be. Ftr penrith had the worst warm up i have ever seen. They looked absolutely all over the place. No fluidity what so ever.
He wasn't even that bad. Made a few stupid decisions defensively and missed a couple of tackles but he does that when he plays centre as well. It didn't make him any worse than he usually is. That said he basically played the the game at centre anyway because Jennings went off.
Yeah probably. Would piss me off as well, the only thing I can understand though is if Taumata doesn't do any good in the pre-season and plays for the Wolves. I normally find out stuff from reading the Panthers forum about how they go in the trials. Yeah agreed. His 10 minutes in the second row was reasonably solid. Wouldn't be angry if he was trialled there next season. ftr, I know he made a lot of poor judgements, he did only miss 3 tackles. Irony.
Personal opinion tbh. I thought he was quite good for the first 7 minutes. When he moved into the centres he went missing and I don't remember seeing him anymore after that.
This. Also need to add the couple of times he made a half break and just gave the ball straight back to us in their own half.
Some good news for Penrith fans and a little revenge. Windsor Wolves have beaten Newton Jets 34-16. I think that was the score. Penrith scored something like 24-6 in the second half with 12 men after Daine Laurie was sent off.
Nah, has played too many NRL games and not enough NSW Cup games. I think Earl might be just over the limit to play as well which is unlucky for him. I think the cut off is 7 NRL games (correct me if I am wrong) and Earl has now played 9/10 I think this season.
