    Amassed a whopping 12 points for my fantasy mob. Had to have a chuckle at the timing of a performance like that after MF in here.


    On the plus side I've got a few case bets going that Josh Mansour will finish the year with a higher average points than Latrell, so thats tracking nicely.

    I acutally agree with you about Latrell ftr. He's the best centre in the game IMO and I totally don't buy that he just wasn't trying or whatever people think about his poor Origin I last year. He just had a shit game - and it wasn't really a shocker, just poor. Dropping him was retarded and I'd have him pencilled in for a recall.

    I do think your bandwagon is partially if not primarily driven by a life-long irrational hatred of Wighton though. He's way better than you think he is. Not as good as Latrell but it's nowhere near the gulf you make out, and that's not because you over-rate Latrell.

    I learnt years ago to have low standard for NSW origin selections, so I'll be happy enough with our centres as long as they come from the group of four I rate -- Trbojevic, Mitchell, Wighton, Staggs.

    Maybe not a gulf but a clear categorical difference. It's not because I hate Wighton or anything. In fact he's the style of player I generally like, but I do think he is overrated.

    Put aside actual proven Origin careers for a second, to me it's like picking a Brent Tate style player over a Greg Inglis. And you know how much I like Tate. But it just shouldnt happen.

    And the attempts to argue for it from people on here who should know better, boggles my mind.

    It's not that he wasn't trying in that one particular game, he doesn't try in any game. It's just how he is. He looks for any opportunity to walk or lightly jog, he's not the type to put in a consistent proper effort. He'll always be a risk/reward player and most games he's more reward than risk. When he doesn't provide rewards though he's fucking annoying, it's not just that he becomes a liability but the reason as to why he becomes one.. he has a horrible attitude that makes you hate him and not want the lazy cunt in your team ever again.

    And yet both Robinson and Bennett wanted him in their teams. I get what you're saying but to say he doesnt try in any game is a bit ridiculous.

    He's got a bit of the Jarryd Hayne thing off the ball, I'll grant you that but it's easily outweighed by being the difference between winning a gf and losing one.

    Whoever they pick are most likely going to be marking Gagai and Morgan. You could pick your 7th and 8th best centres and still be better off than QLD.

    Penrith showed last night what a lot of people thought to be true of Latrell at fullback; if you can tire him out by kicking to him constantly he just doesn't have the endurance required to be a presence in attack and last night made some very basic errors on top of largely be ineffective in good ball zones.

    Big difference between playing some pretty terrible bottom 8 sides and a top 6 side.

    None of this is at all relevant to his ability to play centre though.

    I would be surprised if he's not back in the centres by the end of the year.

    Absolute brain farts from himself and Roberts last night, both were needless sin binnings at crucial points of the game. Unfortunately done himself no favours to those who think he shouldn't be selected because of attitude including Freddy.

    Wtf does that have to do with attitude? That's to do with judgement. And given the circumstances its understandable. Jesus. Countless players have been binned for the same and worse and no one is talking about attitude problems.

    These excuses for not picking him are fucking hilarious...
