I didn't think they were "secret" talks ......I'm sure it was in the media that Daley & co wanted a meet to whinge about the refereeing before game 2.

Meninga clutching to any excuse he can

Dude, you've been trying for like 4 days straight now. It's a lost cause.

I think it was reported as well. Doesn't change anything. The QRL should have been contacted by Archer if a meeting was going to take place.

    Speak for yourself.

    This is brilliant

Meninga is definitely up there for being the biggest fuckwit in Rugby League.

"Rugby League has done nothing for me" - Mal Meninga

    Qld legend. Says it all.

I recall certain members on this forum praising Daley last year for not trying to influence the refs as apparently QLD had. Didn't need to apparently......How many of them were against Daley setting up this meeting I wonder? Hmm. Meninga makes a fool of himself but so do quite a few of his critics.

Daley didn't carry on like a spoilt school girl though, Meninga has/is.

Queensland seem to have developed a bit of a superiority complex during this reign I think, as soon as things haven't gone their way the tears have flown and those at the top are clutching at whatever they can to workout how they lost.

Yeh Daley doesn't consistently go crying to the media about every little thing that goes against him, Meninga just has no class.

  14. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

No of course not. Like when he complained last year that Pearce got elbowed and "nothing happened" - even though Slater was penalised and put on report.

  15. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

No, he just goes crying to the officials. I thought the classy thing about Daley last year was his reluctance to try and influence the refs? So I assume you were against him taking this meeting?

Daley is a fucken champion bloke. He's on the good side of the coon to white threshold, white enough to be one of the boys. See Greg Bird.

Meninga on the other hand is a dog. Like your Fergusons of the world.

I don't know what the line of questioning was so I can't comment. Every coach in the game has held talks with the referees boss at some point so I'd be condemning every coach if I took that stance which I'm not going to do. My gripe is with coaches who consistently whinge to the media in an effort to influence refs and have a shoulder to cry on.

Daley and Meninga are nothing alike. Only a fool would argue otherwise.

    I'm not saying they're alike. I'm saying you're a walking double standard.

If Meninga whinges to the media that's trying to influence the refs, the reluctance of which you cited as a classy thing about Daley (even though he's had a whinge after every game they've lost and some of the one's they've won). Yet when Daley actually sits down with the fucking people who officiate the game, you can't comment because you don't know what the line of questioning was. And you have the gall to instruct others on this forum about naivety. lol. Yeah I'm sure Loz was just asking for clarification on the obstruction rule or some other such crappy euphemism that gets used to describe a coach having in whinge behind closed doors.

MF you're entering a Hughesy level of bias and delusion. It's embarrassing.

Will Chambers facing potential assault charges for an incident at a bar last night in QLD.

What was that you said Mal about your players caring too much about the Jersey to ever put their selection at risk?
