Manly might be without Watmough for a while.

Tate has done his ACL again. Coming from Meninga and Cowboys.

    Jesus Christ.

    Fuuuuuck :(

That sucks for NQ. Signed him on decent coin next year and it'll be on the sidelines again ala Coote. He will probably retire.

Think it's a real shame that NSW don't get to hold up the shield in front of them home fans. I think a special arrangement could've been made given the length of the drought. Would be a bit hollow doing it at Lang Park particularly if they lose Game 3.

I thought it was obvious he did his ACL fwiw.

Really? I thought based on the vision it was his ankle at first. Papers were saying lower leg.

Thought Thaiday played pretty well in a role that he's not really suited to. Would've preferred to have him on the edges smashing Hodkinson with Guerra in the middle.

Scott had a fractured cheek bone, so he missed most of the game. He was still maximum shit when he did play though, 6 runs for just over 30 metres.

Thurston seems to be losing it too. DCE once again didn't train at all in the halves and it showed.

Mal's ego does need to be taken down a notch or two.

NSW just capitalised when they needed to, which is something Qld couldn't do.

    I will never understand:
    A) how Chris McQueen gets a run.
    B) why we never give Inglis early ball, especially against Josh Dugan and an injured Hoppa.

Thought the reffing was putrid all round, but the Woods touch and the Bird strip were particularly difficult to watch. Fuck Dave Taylor. Thank you GYR.

Calling Thurston a grub is a bit rich when his opposite number is Josh Reynolds.

I just don't get how Hayne can get penalties for placing the ball on the ground before getting to his feet. Yet Hodges and Thurston get molested after making breaks and there's flops, not releasing the legs, climbing over the top and we can't buy a penalty in the ruck. I mean I know QLD got away with heaps too but so did NSW. We were actually penalised on the rare occasion though.

Technically Woods wasn't playing at the ball but FMD that's harsh on us. Cunt knew where the ball was and tried not to touch it but he did.

Yeah, those two calls were what cost us in the end. They scored after the Bird "strip", and we didn't get our chance after Woods touched the ball.

I based it on two things.

    1. He looked horrified and terribly distressed straight away. He's done it before, he knows how it is.
    2. He walked off. If they're worried about syndesmosis or a lower leg fracture they won't be walked off. If it's a knee, the player gets walked off 9 times out of 10 because they can't do any more damage.

Yeah you were unlucky on the Woods call. But what cost you in the end was not being able to score a try tbh.

True. Yeah that makes sense. Shrewd observation. You'd be a handy asset to Channel 9. I love it when cunts like Warren think it's a leg injury and the cunts done his shoulder or something

Just on injuries, am I the only one who finds it utterly infuriating at how many fucking times the cunts pan away from the game to show us some cunt injured? Or who is about to come on the field? How many fucking times do we need to see Hopoate carrying his right arm for fuck sake? Just tell us. That's what commentators are there for.

I thought that was a genuine mistake by the referees tbh -- I doubt a referee would have been in position to see it clip his shirt clearly enough to feel confident making the call, and NSW seemed to get play back underway extremely quickly so they couldn't call it back on video replay.

Yeah I'm tempted to say the rub of the green not going our way cost us but you just can't when you get down the opposition's end and you knock-on 3 or 4 times before 3rd and 4th tackle as we did.

We've been wasting Inglis for the past 2 (if not 3) years. Hodges did 10 times more, and we barely even went to that side.

Maybe it's time to play him at fullback.
