    Silmarillion is too disjointed, it's more short stories than anything else, would struggle to turn it into a movie.

    Saw The Hobbit on its launch last week, will be going to see it in imax HFR on saturday and monday. Loved the movie, best one of 2012 for me.

    Anyway I actually think The Silmarillion would work well as a movie, as the story follows a set timeline even though it is a bunch of chapters mashed together.

    Plan on seeing the hobbit, Boxing Day, IMAX.
    I watched up in the air, a few nights ago, I thought it was a really good movie makes you appreciate your own life knowin that poor bastards are all over the world not knowing what to do in life.

    Couldn't watch the Hobbit because my mates decided having a drink at a pub would be more fun than watching "some gay dwarf climbing a mountain for 3 hours". So got drunk and watched Madagascar 3 later on. Found it to be rather amusing although I reckon alcohol played a part in helping me enjoy it.

    Hired Casablanca, had to turn it off 20 minutes in, I just couldn't understand what they were saying. I think with it being in black and white played a part as I couldn't pick up who was speaking straight away.

    Will probably try and give it another watch on boxing night on our better tv and see how it goes.
