    Seriously though, Cameron Smith.

    Even the likes of Darren Lockyer and Thurston don't bring the stability that Smith brings. You can basically put him in any team line-up and that side will still be competitive somewhat.

    Granted he's a talented AFL player. There is no way in hell 3-4 months of training would see him be a Q cup level halfback let alone top of the NRL.

    Dan Carter would be somebody to look at imo, for a Christchurch team for sure would go for him

    - Basically royalty in NZ.
    - Great kicking game, not hopeless in defense. Would make a good 7 or 6.
    - Marketable.

    You wouldn't choose a Union or AFL players, because they won't be as good at league as there own sport and no-one will give a fuck where they're from.

    From a playing perspective, you have to go Cam Smith or Robbie Farah. The 2 most valuable club level players in the league.

    Marketing wise you'd go Marshall, since he's pretty much the face of the game and won't be in off field shit.
