The idea is that you can pick anyone you like to play a game right now. Obviously those who haven't played First Class cricket in a while won't be at the top of their games, but equally, wheeling out Warne in a wheelchair is going to be more productive than picking Richard Dawson.
Just seems like a guy like Warne was so good for so long it'll be some time for his retire to really take effect on a system like this. Even if in reality he is well passed it. Realism ftw.
Exactly, when he was picked first time, he had been retired for 18 months and had been playing in the IPL. now he's getting trashed in the IPL and hasn't played FC in nearly 4 years.
Lara hasn't been that bad. He's obviously not anywhere near he was but all 5 of his scores have been between 20 and 40 odd with an average around 30. It probably shows that he no longer has the endurance to concentrate for any longer than about 50 balls.
Rebels need a win to prevent the gap opening between the top 3 and everyone else. Tunza need a win else their finals chances are goneskis.
Royal Maharajahs are a bit of a joke really. Have a much better side than the level they're performing at.
Really needed to beat Tunza as the last two fixtures - against the Beers and Jets are going to be a pair of Daryls. Could be out of the top three as things stand if the Rebels win, so I think Youssou may struggle to make the finals. Really needed a backup batsman as Tikolo's shown very little so far and we've really got no one to replace him.
I'll trade you a batsman for a bowler. Take your pick from Yuvraj Singh, Tharanga Paranavitana and Mark Butcher for any bowler that's half a shot of averaging less than 40.
The Boozers are the real surprise packet. One thing I want to know though is why Swann is getting bowled at 3 in your lineup, CCG. Isn't Woakes a pace bowler?
