1. Sanath Jayasuriya (Bat: 38.59, Bowl: 32.77) 2. Heino Kuhn (Bat: 43.48) 3. Brad Hodge (Bat: 48.57) 4. Jesse Ryder (Bat: 44.37, Bowl: 27.26) 5. Dale Benkenstein (Bat: 46.00, Bowl: 35.77) 6. Peter Fulton (Bat: 43.90) 7. Steve Tikolo (Bat 53.59, Bowl 36.98) 8. Ramesh Powar (Bat: 28.65, Bowl: 27.81) 9. Chaminda Vaas (Bat: 25.95, Bowl: 25.02) 10. Mark Davies (Bat: 11.09, Bowl: 21.31) 11. Makhaya Ntini (Bat: 9.49, Bowl: 28.56) 12. Irfan Pathan (Bat: 29.89, Bowl: 29.92) Pretty damn happy with that team. Fulton is a bit of a flake, but other than that we've got proven First Class performers across the board; some with some decent international pedigree too. Powar comes in for Pathan. Superior bowling average and a greater bowling variety. Was never too keen about having two left-arm mediums in the team anyway. Deep batting, good bowling variety and an excellent keeper-batsman.
To be honest, Eds, I'm quite happy with our squad. Pathan gives us a very decent option to bring into the squad in the event of one of our other bowlers having a poor start to the tourny, so I don't think a trade option is a go-er. Not for a player you'd be willing to trade anyway, I suspect.

Pathan in for Vaas, Ntini in for Davies. See how they go in the 2nd warm up to determine the final preferred XI for the main event. Worried about Fulton. He's a bit shit, really.
So, Fung... Who do you want to keep? I'm thinking Ryder, Benkenstein and Kuhn... Definitely Ryder. Any other thoughts?
Good question. And no, I don't have any stats. I'll see if Markarse has some, but I doubt it somehow.
You're recasting the player abilities then? Well, Vaas & Ntini are now retired so will presumably take a hit, Fung. Checked Kuhn's stats, his last season was about the same as the season before so should be about the same. Benkenstein had a poor season by his standards in the UK, so will presumably decline.
