I have Jayawardene in there who averages 53 odd in test and 56 odd in FC, so should be pretty good. I just can't think of a good enough opener, and no, I don't really fancy Broad Fancy telling me, them?
He's opened once or twice in the Shield, opened a couple of times in England, spent about three seasons opening in the ING Cup and always opens in Grade cricket. He'd actually open for NSW if we didn't have 85 openers in our squad IMO. He'll cop a simming average drop for having to open but all the above experience will ensure it's not so much as to make him worse than say, Ryan Broad.
Didn't have a mare of a last season though? That'll sting against retired players - those who statistically appear to have retired due to age-related decline.
