Basically this is where all the discussion regarding the draft will take place. Just means that the actual draft thread is less cluttered so people can see clearly who the last person to pick was, who the next person to pick is and also who has been picked recently. For the first round there will be a 36 hour time limit on picks. If you do not manage to make your pick you will be skipped but you may make your pick as soon as you log in. After the first round the time limit shall be revised and possibly shortened to 24 hours. If for some reason you know that you will not be online to make your pick please email a shortlist of players that you would like to be picked to Prince EWS at prince.ews@cricketmail.net. Obviously you will need to send a shortlist containing enough players to ensure that somebody off your list is still available when it comes to your turn to make a pick. That should cover it all. Feel free to ask any questions etc. Draft order to come soon.
Sounds like a plan, Stanley. I'm a fan of 6th pick. I'd much prefer to be in the middle than at one of the ends.
I couldn't care less but the odds of Julian twice randomly getting first pick are astonomical. As if it wasn't rigged. Anyway, as I said, I don't really care as I ****ing hate Kallis and would have been forced to pick him. It's just ****ing dodge.
Jacques Kallis is so very handy for team balance. There's no other player in the current cricket environment who offers such a combination to the standards that Kallis sets. Sure, his bowling may not be quite as penetrative as it once was, but he's still a more than handy first/second change.
Yeah I agree. I joked about it in the lead up but I am being completely honest in saying that I didn't pressure Marcuss into it besides the initial joking which was months ago anyway. If he did do it on purpose (which I really doubt) I am happy for him to quash my first pick and do another ranomised order.
Well it's 16 to 1 of getting it first so I'm giving him the benefit. But as I said if he put m there because he felt pressured from months ago I am happy for him to change it.

True. It's not really THAT astronomical because the first one had already occurred. However, the odds before the first draft draw of you getting both number 1 picks would have been 256/1.
LOL We'll just wait to see what marcuss says. I think either way, he shouldn't be crucified for it. I know if I was him and 'julian' came out first in a random generator I'd feel so dodgy about posting, but I'd still have to otherwise it'd be unfair to do it again.
It just doesn't add up, and he will defend it saying it was random while nobody will believe him. You being first pick was the worst thing possible to start off this draft.
As I said, if it was random, he would simplay have been stuck between a rock and a hard place. If it wasn't, he should man up and say it, and randomise again (if the majority agree) because he might cop a bit of shit, but I and most won't hold a mistake against him.
BTW, my understanding is that posts in the Draft thread should only be made by a person making a selection, so it'll be easy to see what choices have been made and all that.
