Oh also with my idea if a player wanted to stay at their current club and the club was happy to pay for them then the player wouldn't go to auction, their minimum fee would just be removed from the club's balance.
Stars did bring stuff into the competition and could attract star players, they folded as most of their blokes were inactive.
Players should not be forced to go to clubs they do not wish to be at. Except Prodigy. The only feasible way to make a salary cap work would be to, somehow, create an incentive to acquire more CricSim money.
I said it was a shit idea, I just thought it at least warranted a respone like all the other ideas received.
I don't want it to be possible for clubs to make a player good just by throwing salary cap money at him.
Instead on a Salary Cap what about a sim average cap? Edit: I'm against the whole idea of a cap anyway.
Which again brings back the problem of players not being able to merely take cuts to stay at their clubs. It's either one problem or another. There's no solution.
You're missing the point. It's not possible for players to take cuts on a simming average cap. They'd just have to leave, which would be dire.
Unless you give each player a rough value, it wouldn't work. Then it's too hard to give each player a fair value as in a couple of games, they could already be worth twice to three times as much as they should be and it just complicates. Also, you're forgetting the point it's a simulator. It's random and anything can happen.
