    It's as simple as "you get what you pay for". Because you pay for XBL it is a better service. It's the same concept as anything you buy. You pay more, you get better quality.

    Its online play though? what else do you really want from it? Quick matches and matches with mates is the only thing you need for online why pay for a service which is free on PS3?

    It's quite possible that the service is exactly the same though and that Microsoft are using the live subscription costs to offset the loss incurred by the cheaper original console price. Could also not be the case, of course.

    Care to elaborate on what exactly makes XBL better? More reliable with less lag, or what?

    No point saying, it's all just going to be opinion with a couple of facts, like interfaces but doubt anyone really cares about that, earlier it was all about initial lag in some countries but PS3 fixed that issue.
    Really it just depends how many mates cribbage has on PS3's compared to XBL
    seriously that's really the difference.
