Blokes like Gordon are obviously much better overall players than Nightingale so I can see why people are tempted to include them, but in terms of the specific wing skillset I'd take Nightingale over anyone else, including Boyd who I picked on the other wing. Only Inglis is a better winger and he'll never play there again.
I like Nightingale but I don't think he's as good as some people are making out. People's halves are interesting. It's hard to pick when one player happens to be the best in the world in both positions.
I honestly think Carney is better than both Cronk and Marshall but he's done absolutely nothing at rep level at all so it's hard to include him based on actual performance.
Yep. I had Carney in at 6 with JT at 7. Changed it shortly before posting for that exact reason. He's the better player but his rep form is long overdue. He should have 10 games under his belt by now.
I don't rate Nightingay that highly either. More than Perrett. But a lot of the best wingers are so interchangeable.
He's not. He just needs not to play as if he's being asked to produce something all the time. Cunt has no patience and doesn't know how to carve out a win with his head. It's gay abandon (haha), and if it comes off it comes off, if it doesn't, well it was at least fun to watch. That sort of stand-off will only ever be consistently successful with a high quality halfback who doesn't play second fiddle.
tbf to Florence there's a distinct lack of quality wingers - Ryan Hall who plays SL won the RLWF (?) award for winger of the year.
