IMHO Melb and Drags should be favourites but it doesn't necessarily mean that no one else can win. Eels in 09 came pretty fucken close to beating a cheating side.

  2. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

I thought you always said Gillett is barely first grade standard.

  3. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

I said his defence and ball control is barely FG standard.

  4. crowley DA Crowley

Best 4 teams in the comp all stood up this weekend.

  5. Alec AD Funkotron

He's been really impressive defensively since he's come back from injury, hopefully he keeps it up.

  6. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

He's been better. He needs to keep improving though if he's going to play Origin next year, which I'm predicting he will.

  7. Lukic L Popovic

Lui ACL and Tigers are all of a sudden a top chance.

  8. Boobidy BJ Gemmell

So he is barely FG standard in attack or defence, but the Broncos aren't full strength without him? You over-rate defensive kicking games way too much.

  9. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

    Hilarious.

  10. Stormer BH Borisc

Guarantee Dragons won't win. Melbourne or Manly imo

  11. Julian BJ Taylor

I'd pick from Melbourne, Illawarra and Penrith.

Tigers are always a chance but without Dwyer and the real Farah they appear to be absolutely no hope.

  13. Wilson SB Wilson

    Penrith? Lol.

  14. Julian BJ Taylor

Yep. Rate Penrith highly besides Burns. If Lewis is 100% at lock it almost over rides that anyway.

  15. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

No one can make up for Burns. Penrith's defence is too brittle and they lack the toughness to threaten any top side imo.

  16. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Yeah, I like Penrith last year and predicted they would finish highly, which they did but I'm not a fan this year. They have the players to be a real challenger but they're shameless under-performers.

Tbh there has been extenuating circumstances this year. We've been playing much better since Gus has been in charge.

  18. Speirz DG Speirs

    Such as what?

 wrong use of word. Didn't think. A more apt choice of word would have been "other" :p

But obviously the whole Coach situation.

  20. Speirz DG Speirs

Surely the whole coach situation would've been resolved if they'd been performing well on the park. Under-performance causes the examination of coaching staff, rather than the other way around. It's not a cause, it's an effect.
