    Chelsea had better players but Liverpool were the better team. It's genuinely incredible how many chances world-class players missed against Chelsea over the course of the knockout stages.

    Liverpool were not a good team domestically that year though. Jibbed to a woeful Southampton side at one point, went out the FA Cup to Burnley.

    Of course both finished 5th in the Prem.

    In terms of the most entertaining to watch that I've seen live, it would have to be United in the FA Cup, when they went 3 nil up against us in the first 10 minutes, then we fought back and hit the crossbar in the last minute, having hit the post numerous times already. Finished 3-2 United, but it was an unreal game with an unreal atmosphere. Not one perosn left the ground early. I couldn't actually talk for about 4 days after from how much I'd shouted.

    The best football I've seen live was when Arsenal came to Reading the first season we went up. Henry was simply superb that night. Completely dictated the game, including having control over where the Reading players went. He was quality.

    And Reading had been playing really well at home. Drew 1-1 to United, only lost 1-0 to Chelsea because of a deflected free kick. Think we might have beaten Villa 2-0 the game before the Arsenal game too.

    Best game I've seen live was the 10/11 GF between CCM and Roar. But best game seen on tv was Arsenal Newcastle in that 4 all draw

    I still go back and watch that Tiote goal all the time.

    I was only about 9, but I remember watching a screamer of a game in the 98 world cup, pretty sure it was Netherlands V someone in the semi and went to extra time, I'm a bit hazy on the details (may well have been another Netherlands game) but I remember sitting there afterwards thinking 'wow, that's the best game I've ever seen'
