You said, "Rubbish" when Speirz pointed out my point that legality and morality are not correlated.

Wtf is wrong with you, you immoral retard?

  2. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

    Off you go.

  3. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

He clearly implied that if an act is illegal, then it's also immoral.

    Nothing to do with subjectivity.

  4. Skippos SM Morgan

Yeah he did, before rescinding and saying they're not mutually exclusive

  5. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

He didn't rescind anything. His position, based on his own statements is, if something is illegal than it's immoral. The stuff about mutual exclusivity is an addition, not a contradiction or an alteration. Said comment was idiotic and was an irrelevant response to something I posted.

I no longer think Fiery can read.

    *sigh. No Skippos. Here...

A = Illegal. B = Immoral. MF, (the shitty, arseclown, trolling, pseudo-intellectual, shit cunt cuntface cunt cunt), was trying to tell people these two sets do not have an intersection. I was arguing there is. The purple part is a lot bigger imo however. The size of the purple part is subjective obviously.

    It's not hard.

Of course they're fucking correlated you stupid cunt. You are trying to tell me killing someone cannot possibly be both illlegal AND immoral. And then I'm the immoral retard?

    :fp:

You're so tired and bored you have to read other people's arguments. That's not our fault. Go and try to sniff out a Mars bar or something

  14. Fiery GR Smith

    And you're fat. So what?

  15. Skippos SM Morgan

Fiery's, you're right...there's a large overlap, i agree. but there's no dependence. B does not depend on A, it is just 'chance' that puts them there.

  16. Fiery GR Smith

    Of course.

(Not sure "chance" has much to do with it though)

I read half an argument about 4 pages ago and posted that.

You've misunderstood. Me saying there is no correlation between the concepts of morality and legality does not mean I think they're mutually exclusive. It's only when applied to a specific instance do they share a mutual relationship - You cannot derive morality from legality nor vice versa. In and of themselves they are not related.

For example, you cannot say that because an orange is both round and a fruit that there is a correlation between spherical objects and fruit in and of themselves. There's only a connection between the two when a third party is introduced. I said nothing of a third party.

Speirz hit the nail on the head - "An act being illegal doesn't make it immoral though, which is MF's point." You responded by saying "rubbish." So clearly you think that because something is illegal it is therefore immoral - That is what's rubbish and that was my point.

I didn't misunderstand you at all. This is just more of your typical back-pedalling and mind-numbingly pretentious twaddle. I will now speak in the ridiculous language you seem to think portrays you as someone having more than two braincells and see if you can understand me...you are now simply endeavouring to elucidate your balderdash by pretending there was ambiguity where there wasn't any.
