TTT20 - Auction - Round 1

A quick reminder to the rules of the auction.

Each team has $3M to spend on 6 players from the 60 player pool. There is a min wage of 100k for each player. Teams must ensure that they leave sufficient funds to draft 6 players. The total 60 man Auction pool can be found in the main thread in other sports.

Players are to send their max spend on each player via personal message within 24 hours of the round starting. PM TO BE SENT TO ANDREW JOHNS After 24 hours the max bid will be made public with the leading team specified. After 24 hours for teams to submit improved offers the players are sold.

Will check in with Johnsy as to the max bids for round 1 at 10:30AM tomorrow. The top bids will be announced then.

so what's the point in bidding today? I can't win anyone but I can alert everyone to the fact I want that player.

 

I had wanted to ensure that players have more chance to secure the players they value. rather than it all being chance of draw. If players don't submit a bid in the initial 24 hours they can't gazump with an offer from nowhere. This way though everyone has equal chance at the top 60 even if they are slightly overbid they can still potentially get the player they want but pay overs and vice versa i reckon it will be interesting to see what players who hold the max bid do. they'll know how comfortably they hold the player and might increase or decrease their max bid accordingly.

As heef said Administration can easily check that I'm not dodgying it up too if anyone has concerns.

 

so if I don't bid today I can't bid. tomorrow?

 

Basically the auction is in play from now till 10:30 am on Wednesday. I'll post up the current leaders and teams get one last chance to update their offers and 10:30am Thursday the players are sold to the highest bidder.

If you don't bid you don't have an offer to update so send Johnsy an offer on players you want.

Another who I was critiscised for flaming. Comes into threads to post something that mirrors another members post in this case baxter but fucks it up ends up making no sense and it annoys the shit out of me.
