    Nah, critics on the most part tend to err on the side of negative reviews for generic action films. And the more superhero films we get the more generic they typically become.

    The ones that seem the most fresh are usually more well received, ie Winter Soldier, Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy.

    That said Batman v Superman was pretty "fresh" but I don't think it was a particularly well put together film.

    Yeah it's tough to completely disagree with the critics in most cases. Criticism of BvS may have been over the top, but it was objectively not well done in some areas. Really can't wait to see what the director's cut looks like.

    Also, Suicide Squad test screenings are pretty positive. I know we heard the same about BvS, but you would think this time people are going in with different expectation with the reception BvS got?

    A director's cut isn't going to make a money grab movie better. Shoehorning JL characters like that was bad, still not over it. Only seems to get worse every day as I think back on it. Bats was ok but that was it.

    Oh and Hugh Jackman is apparently leaving the Wolverine character after one last film. Hope they get Scott Eastwood to play the character after him, if they want to get a similar face.

    The Conjuring 2. Not bad. I'm not a fan of the genre but this was pretty decent. Could've been a bit shorter but overall it's decent.

    Independence Day: Resurgence is fucking awful. Worst movie I have seen this year. No bad ass speech from anyone. Stupid fucking vfx, 4/10.

    I thought it was alright, did what it said on the tin and only made me cringe at that Goldblum line in the trailer and when they tried so hard to appeal to the Chinese market. I bet you the Chinese cut will have another 5 minutes on it

    I thought it was cleverly done, seemed to have a lot of themes applicable to the present with a good overall message and good main characters, Bateman was a perfect fit voice wise. Got a few hearty laughs at the DMV bit and the mob boss too.
