Things to add to the Sim (For S3)

Maybe having team reputation could also complement this. Everyteam starts each season with the same morale and reputation to make things even, and when you win your reputation and morale goes up and when you lose they go down.

But then later in the season, you could have upsets, and a team with low reputation (Seahacks) play a team with high reputation (Falcons), if the weaker team wins their morale and rep goes up by a bigger amount than if the Falcons won. But should the Falcons win then the Seahawks rep and morale would decrease only slightly while the Falcons' increased slightly.

Another thing that would be gun to implement would be home grounds, other than just names. Maybe have net size (smaller would mean less goals occur and bigger would mean more)? Maybe have width and length of the rink with teams with awesome centres and Dmen playing a more compact game and teams with awesome wingers choosing a wider stadium and a more expansive game?

Also loving Peaches' ideas of team morale, game misconduct and particularly more in-depth tactics. Rather than just one number for a defense and attack setting and an aggression setting why not have other settings as well?

Net size cant change. Its like football, set dimension rules, not like pitches

Yeh, I know, but how else could you have home pitches having differences?

Just length/width really, maybe if you change thte ice it can make the puck move quicker or slower?
dont even know if thats possible in real life

    1. Team Reputation.

    2. Home/Away Ice (maybe size of Ice or different characteristics)

    3. More Fights/Disciplinary problems.

    4. Possibility of a supporters club which can effect player morale.

Any of these would be great.

  7. I'm not a big hockey person but more personalised features like team rep and such sounds good

More in-depth fight descriptions IMO, like on the NHL games where they've got a specific fighting feature, could say what happened to who etc.

You can't change the dimensions of the Rink in the NHL either, AFAIK it's all set dimensions for NHL (though Internationals dimensions are slightly wider and longer (not by much though).

This! It would be pretty interesting to see someone get injured & be out for a few games because of coming off second best in a fight.

As I said somewhere in this section about confidence. GK are normally a bit shake at the start when they have a few saves under there belts there confidence increases.

Face off don't seem to be a priority in this sim when they are very important in real games. Team that lose the face offs are going to have hard time to win.

Giving player roles to add more depth to the sim. Pretty much what you have in the NHL on the consoles and crap.

    Forwards

-Power- Power forward are strong with the puck and are very to get of the puck. The work effective in crowded area.

-Play makers-Simple really, play makers are the guys that set up the play. Very good passers of the puck

-Defensive- Will do all the ugly plays. Crash the net and look for rebound and screening. Solid in turning over possession and normally are your primary face off men.

-Sniper- Have very good shot selection and can launch shots with great power and accuracy.

-Dangler- Have very good puck control and stick handling. Will deke and beat defenders and the keepers more often than not.

There are players that can do more than one discipline effective but there normally your superstars of the game. For the sake of balance have them adequate in most fields without being brilliant.

    Defense

Offensive. Very good at moving the puck for a defense man make very good passes to start a rush. Have the ability to launch shots from the blue line.

Enforcer- They only have one objective, help keep the puck out of the net. Very good shot blockers, checking and will find ways to get the puck loose. Won't shy down to a fight.

    Goal Keepers

Most of it can be done with the stats so choosing a goal keep style isn't really important. Adding confidence is probably is the most important stat needed for a keeper.

Also I want to know about if there is an awesome save a goal keeper makes. Not a priority but something I would like to see.

Tactic also but cbf going into that atm.

    Forward enforcers?

    Unless that's included under Defensive.

I see the likes of say Parros and Ivanans (spelling) as a Forward Enforcer

Yeah would go under defensive forward I suppose.
