Ok I'm looking into bringing Tennis Sim back to Cricsim. Just at the moment I'd like to know how many people would play it.... Cheers Regan
Ok and obviously the next step is how it works since I wasn't on the old forum I have no idea how they did it on there. I have plenty of ideas on how it could work e.g. you're your own individual playing in tournaments/ games and you can double up with doubles people etc. and have rankings. Or be in teams
Yea that was what I was thinking. Couldn't really think how you could be in teams. Then we have countries for something like a Davis cup???
Check out how Sir Bloody Idiot does it on CricketWeb (I think he joined up here) as he does an absolutely excellent job with the Tennis Sim on that site, and I'm sure he'd be willing to share his method with you.
I'll check that some time thanks!!! I'm not sure if you had commentary but I wouldn't do commentary I'd simply just stat the score and the stats like aces winners etc. Since there'd be alot of games being played just for 1 tournament. Then the games could be simmed faster etc.
Yea I think for just normal games it'd be something like this: Welcome to this Auckland Masters tournament today. The match between Hutchinson and Herd is about to start. Heads is called and Hutchinson says he'll serve first Match Summary: Hutchinson 7/3 5/7 7/3 7/4 Hutchinson is the winner Hutchinson : Herd Faults 1 3 1st serve 2nd serve winners smashes etc. etc. would look a lot better and with more things etc but along those lines
Of course this is dependant on if Cribb lets me do it and we get enough people. Once we're getting closer to starting up then we could discuss more about how it'll actually work. So everyone gets a say.
Yeah looks pretty good. I can see Heath plays there. I think with qualifications and wildcards would be better too make it seem more realistic.
Yeah I could do a paragraph for major tournaments like opens etc. then for amatuers and qualification matches no commentary just like above with all stats.
