    Waterhouse is a disgrace.

10hitups for 57m and 20 tackles is a pretty big effort, TBH.

  3. Magic AJ Parker

He played 3 less minutes than Myles for 20 less metres and 17 less tackles.

I think his best is certainly behind him, used to be a big fan even last year I thought he still offered a bit but he's gone up shit creek in recent times.

My stats say 90m for Myles and 58m for Waterhouse.

39 tackles for Myles. 16 for Waterhouse.

Nate should have got MOTM. Had some cashola on him at 21-1.
That reminds me....**** it shits me when watching footy with my mate who played league all his life. Just because I stopped early on, apparently he is the knower of all rules. ****ing shit me when he was just plain alltogether wrong.

Correction. Stats now say (after replays) 78m for Myles. 57m for Waterhouse.

Stats also say Myles missed EWS's quota, though that is very surprising. Definitely checking that myself.

    We suck.

    Absolutely no creativity.

  8. Alec AD Funkotron

Stats for this game are probably a little off. The defence was very compressed and most of the running from the forwards was just one out stuff. Makes sense why a few of them would have average figures.

I'm honestly upset that we lost but not unhappy with our performance. I think the team that we named with players out of position it could've been a lot worse than it was. To lose by such a narrow margin made me quite proud of the boys and how they never gave up.
I have a good feeling going into game 2 and I believe we should move Hayne to fullback, Lyon Centre and Gidley to 5/8th with Idris starting.

    Said quota?
And QLD get back Smith, Hannant and possibly Price.

  11. Blocka ZA Berkuta

Meh, Smith's overrated, Hannat isn't much better than any of your forwards last night and we'll just knock Price out again!

  12. Old Mate M Perry

    And we'll just win again.

EWS kept saying all week (like an insecure little bitch:clap:) "Oh who's going to miss 8 tackles with Hodges being out. Who, who, who? Tell me who."

  14. Magic AJ Parker

    Thurston...

  15. Sultan Pepper HG Emm

Hayne did some stupiud things last night, he had all the time in the world when he threw that ball into touch. Him and Idris rushed in when there was absolutely no need for it last night.

  16. Magic AJ Parker

The try to Inglis was all Idris's fault, Gould was just trying to push his stupid agenda of Hayne isn't a right sided player so everyone will jump on his bandwagon and Hayne will be fullback. Not one word about Idris who was the one who created the overlap, Lyon had Taylor, Idris had Inglis and Hayne had Boyd until Idris for some reason decided to rush in on Taylor who was never going to receive the ball in any case.

  17. Howsie DP Howell

It was 3-2 (4 on 2 if you count Thurston) If Idris doesn't come in Thurston gives a short ball to Dave Taylor.

I hope we do. Gidley was our best player last night. But his play did not go backwards once he went to 6. In fact we looked shitloads better in attack IMO.

    Yep 100% agree.

Nah I think we've seen that Hayne will go to 1 and Gidley to 6. And I'm not unhappy about that. It also means the outside backs will be changed. Lyon will go to right centre (thank ****) and the right wing will be either Tahu (unless he's a left centre and they drop Cooper) or a new specialist.

Agreed. He was never going to be shit either cos he's a good player. Cronk on the bench gets a thumbs up from me too. Will add genuine spark and point scoring ability if Qld are down in the late stages of the game.

With Lyon to centre and Tahu/Cooper the incumbents I don't know how you can work out that Idris will start.

    HAHAHAHAHA

Hayne was caught out a number of times but the fact he was playing outside Tahu and then Idris left him up shit creek.

100% agree. No doubt about it.

It is so heart breaking that everything we collectively agreed on was the reason NSW lost:

    - Perry and White making **** all metres.
    - The likes of Waterhouse being neither a workhorse, impact player or metre eater.
    - The poor decision making in defence from Tahu, Idris and Hayne.

We fix that we win that game IMO.

  19. Magic AJ Parker

Haha what ****ing game were you watching?

  20. Julian BJ Taylor

Anyway some other random thoughts on certain players/combinations.

    - I thought our left side defence looked pretty solid all night which is a touch surprising because Tahu was out there for half the game.

    - The front row just wasn't up to it. Even Weyman really struggled because there was just too much pressure on him.

    - Watmough is an absolute gun. He turns into Paul Gallen playing for Cronulla at Origin level. **** we need to get Gallen in there. I'd start him at prop just to get him in there.

    - TLL was very, very good IMO. He tends to struggle a touch for involvement in defence but his go forward was very, very good imo. Didn't take a backward and was genuinely NSW's best prop last night.

    - Gidley was ****ing fantastic. BUT our attack improved when him and Hayne were alternating between fullback and 5/8th. I want to see that for game 2. AND I want to see Kimmorley retained. I thought he did his job pretty well.

    - Lyon back to centre solidifies the right edge a bit more.

    - Idris, White, Perry and possibly Waterhouse need to be dropped. I'd retain most of the team. If Cooper is fit he should keep his spot. Lyon --> right centre. Right wing should be either Tahu or Monaghan IMO.
