    Good.

Personally Id play Deane ahead of Smith. Smith isn't a great bowler anyway and playing Deane strengthens our batting alot. We have 2 of the best bowlers in farny and Whicker... I can do a job when needed and Laing is a good 4th bowler.

    M Norf

Callum has had a terrific year, 642 runs at 40.13 and 38 wickets @ 26.89.

    Blunder averaged 39.71

Haha, they had very different roles though tbf.

Wasn't comparing him to Callum tbh.

I was researching the season averages for the provisional side I typed up, was going to post them all up but accidentally hit refresh. Blunder's was the funnies I come across so made a post about it.

    Saj? :p

Ye exactly. Our weak point is our batting so drop Smith for you, a batting alrounder.

  9. Baxter MJ Deane

    Yeah

Callum isn't Luke Wright in FC though.

And it started so well. :(

I was looking back at the season, and apart froma couple of nightmare games... alot of the time I started well then came back on to bowl against a batsman who was in, and got smacked lol. Aw well.

    JT Whicker - 69 wickets @ 31.94
    BOY Blunder - 56 wickets @ 39.07
    AP Farnsworth - 70 wickets @ 22.44
    C Laing - 36 wickets @ 26.89

    S Smith - 16 BS wickets @ 31.88, 33 ALC wickets @ 23.18. (Averaged close to 30 with the bat in ALC)

    M Deane - 43 ALC wickets @ 27.67

Not the scariest of bowling attacks

Whicker has had a poor season by his standards, Blunder was poor as well.

  13. Baxter MJ Deane

Yeah, Whicker was average but poor in comparison to usual.
Blunder was pretty awful in anyone's book.

It was more his average than his wicket taking that was awful. Didn't have much support for the first half of the season but played relatively well, then when support did come he struggled!

Yeh but when you look at what we've done for GB (/NSW in Whickers case) we're strong.

    Same with Gooders.

Yeh I think we'l hold our own in the PC. Look how Victoria did last season and we trounced them.

I say include GB and just ditch NZ all together lets face it they only have one bowler at the moment in me and Gazza is up and coming that makes a grand total of 2. Our batting could foot it on the odd occasion imo but our lower order + bowling is like 30589375 light years away. I say we play Ireland in a series.
