I still think this whole players are more valuable if there teams win is bull. You take Rogers performance out of the seahax and they are zero's his performance for them was as valuable if not more valuable for the fact that he was on a losing side. I get that a valuable player will help move a team towards winning, but that doesn't mean a performance on a losing team is less valuable. The fact that rogers doesn't have a great support cast makes him more valuable for his team not less. Unless a fool goes missing when the game is on the line MVP should go to the best performer straight up imo.
I have seen MVPs/MOTM from losing sides though. Not sure about basketball because I don't really follow it.
I've never seen it in basketball. I did give MOTM to a player in a losing team once or twice, but not for MVP. In the NBA it's for the player who contributes most to team success.
