Isn't this kind of thing decided by Tries Scored in the Premiership? Seems like a fair way to do it to me
Yeah we were practically camped on their line. Overall we had more ball, more territory and made more ground yet we had way too many unforced errors. Add to the that some excellent work at the breakdown by the Crabs and that's why we couldn't win outright. I'd be interested to know how difficult Alessi's kicks were that he missed. Those conversions cost us in the end
Home advantage. Force and Martyn injured. More possession More territory Better players on the day. Still couldn't win #moralvictory
Hedger v Heef at lineout time killed England against NZ as well. Honestly this is the thing to do. The Spartans were the best team over the course of the season and in the end weren't beaten. But we took them toe to toe at their own patch and couldn't be bested either, after having proved our worth this year over anyone else. I'm proud to have got our newbie side up to their level and it's the result we've earned.
Newsflash: The SRC have decided that extra time will be played. In the event of a draw AET, then the Trophy will be shared. Extra time will consist of two halves of 10 minutes each, featuring the players that were on the field at the end of 80 minutes. Injuries will still occur.
As Crabs humble and completely pointless President, I would like to voice my displeasure with the decision of the SRBC (excluding Spartans+Crabs). That said if any other Crab complains about this, or whinges, or sarcastically hits at the fairness of this decision, I will personally infract you. Decision has been made.
I don't see why this is a bad thing given this is exactly what would have happened if extra time had been implemented in the first place.
So, the question is when do people want to see the overtime. I've simmed it already, so it's ready to go. Thinking Thursday 9pm NZT like the thread title says.
