Least tries down right hand wing in 2013; Roosters.

Yeh so much depends on what's going on inside and how the coach wants them to defend.

Having your centre & winger in particular push up really hard on sweeping plays with your 2nd rower & half required to come across and cover in behind is a pretty common structure atm and whilst it looks like the centre & winger are making poor decisions it's clearly intentional.

It's never just as black and white as the winger keeps rushing in imo.

Yeah that was an interesting contradiction on your part, I thought. Blaming RTS's defensive failings on SKD and then later in the year using stats to defend your right side's defence, chiefly, SKD.

You make it up as you go along when it comes to defending your Roosters. Which is why this will be my last response to you on this topic. Pretty much over this "dick measuring" as Tart said.

Saying SKD defended poorly in Round 1 does not equal saying he defended poorly over the whole year. Lets not forget the original argument was based just on that 1 game and not a significant part of the season so there's no contradiction here - just you trying to find a leg to stand on after a pretty conclusive stat.

Even if you believe RTS is a liability in defence the team is picked based on 2013 performances not ability and the least tries down his side goes a pretty long way to making your argument void in this case.

Pretending it's all about the Roosters is just weak, I've been critical of Tupou's defence all season and think he's largely overrated because of just how poor he is so get off the biased bandwagon it's getting boring. If you think it's a dick measuring contest over a discussion about footy then good fuck off.

Personally I thought Mcmanus was the only other one who came close this year to making the side, he was excellent all year, held his own on debut at SOO level and I think it's harsh to discount him just because he didn't play in the world cup due to injury. The large majority of the games involved minow nations so I think it's a bit ridiculous the comp was weighted so heavily in the decision.

I'm not going to respond to the falsehoods or inconsistencies in logic in that post, Magic. If you think tries conceded proves a winger can tackle then that's your prerogative. I think that's a ridiculous method of analysis open to all sorts of misrepresentation.

And McManus did not debut in Origin this year.

    116-0 final score.
At least I'm pretty sure it was.
The scoreboard couldn't go to 3 digits, so it stopped at 98.

Couple of the Philippino boys looked pretty good.
Luke Srama had some impressive runs from dummy half, and was giving good service all night.
One of the wingers, Jeremiah Alimpulos I think, scored a bunch of tries, must of broken about a thousand tackles during the game, impressive speed and solid in defence.

Was quite hard to judge really, the Latinos defence was absolutely horrid, falling of tackles left and right, as soon as there was even a tiny sidestep or anything they just opened up.
Attack wise they had glimpses of class but made stupid mistakes every time they got into a good position.
Game was pretty much epitomised in the first set where the Latinos forgot to kick on the last tackle and handed possession straight to the Tamaraws who scored like 2 plays later.
However for a lot of them it was their first full length game, either being fresh converts or only playing in 9s matches. So there's a lot to build on.

Just on the World 13 team, no Matt Scott is a joke. He was incredible this year.
