Hard to see us sticking with the Panthers with JWH & Pearce both ruled out. Hoping we just don't get a score put on us. Watson & Matterson will really struggle as a halves pairing though so good chance it could get ugly.
No idea how they missed that Merrin knock on, ball was literally just sitting there on the ground for 5 seconds. Nice show n go from Cleary to get the opening try.
Trent Merrin literally puts the ball in Aubusson's lap then calls for strip and the refs obliges. Just proves yet again they don't actually rule on what they can see just what they assume has happened. My pet hate with refs at the moment, if you can't see a strip you can't rule there was one ffs. I reckon they get it wrong more than 50% of the time too.
lol Guerra has turned into such a joke of a First Grader. That's such a soft try to concede on your line.
A lot of the time it's not even what they assume has happened. It's a decision relative to the context at the time because the reality is stripping is generally really hard to see and rule on. That's about as mildly as I dare phrase it. For example you'll practically never see three stripping penalties in a row. And the chances of getting one when your side is winning by a decent margin is dramatically decreased. Then again that's true for almost all ambiguous infringements.
Should be the complete opposite. I'd say they're wrong 75% of the time because a lot of the time when hands are around the ball it's still just lost due to poor ball security.
Yep, more responsibility needs to be put on the ball carrier. Trent Merrin knocked the ball on twice trying to offload in heavy traffic and was rewarded on both occasions. There's just no balance under the current interpretations.
Honestly get fucked Guerra, weak attempt on Grevsmuhl and now Waqa Blake when he gets caught bludging on the wing.
Dunno what happened to him, he has just been a complete turd this season. Though I think he was pretty decent for Queensland.
