I think you're cherry picking a bit there. Copley does drive with his shoulder when he gets himself in the right position to do so. Technically speaking, he's a bit of an unco...... That said....Reed's not that skilful a footballer himself. For mine Copley has done enough in the centres now, to show we'll get much more value from him playing there fulltime. If he gets his confidence (hands) right, we may have finally found ourselves another damaging no.3. 1. Hoffman 2. Vidot 3. Copley 4. Hodges 5. Maranta 6. Barba 7. Hunt Hodgo to call the shots when to shift himself, Barba & Hoffman around in attack. Maranta has proven in the past he can handle the high ball.....his form this year when given the opportunity has been pretty good. Did a great job tonight.
To say when he gets himself in the right position to, is precisely the problem. Too often he doesn't get himself in the position to.
When the facts change my opinion changes. Well if you think that's the case then talk to the bloke making the comparison. It wasn't I, if you'd care to notice. I, on the other hand, noticed that you don't contest the claim in my response to Alec. That's rather suggestive in itself. I get it Gemmell; you don't like Brent Tate.
I thought he did pretty well in his return game. 8 hit-ups for 70m and 11 tackles is not too bad. Put on an important shot too. He needs to take this opportunity to reassert himself as a genuine FG prop. He's certainly capable of it, I think.
He had several opportunities with space in front of him. And each time he looked either totally disinterested, or unwilling to use his pace. There's something very wrong with the kid atm.
