Taylor is the best young half coming through right now for sure IMO. Hopefully he keeps it up and doesn't go to poo like many others before him though.
Sam Burgess needs a massive boot up the arse. I don't care if he makes 300m a game, his discipline is unforgivable. The errors, penalties and pathetic defence on his line at times, it cost Souths the match. 4 errors, 3 penalties, and a missed tackle for a Titans try. Fucking horrendous. Commentators say nothing of course.
not that it applies in this instance but they need to be extremely careful adjudicating on this blocker thing with field goals. If we're gonna have video reviews for field goals then they have to check onside as well. Anyone who races up and puts any pressure on the kicker from an offside position should be penalised. That's a penalty you almost never see given.
they quickly avoided that so they won't have to set a precedent. it's a double standard because it's always checked with a try, but if they set the precedent they're going to have to check nearly every single field goal and failed field goal with the video ref. it would stop it happening more and there would be more nicer, clean field goals instead of it turning into a scrappy mess, but at the same time you don't want stoppages in those final periods.
