Cowboys are underrated by these forums IMO. Thurston's in close to career-best form, he's finally got a decent 6 in Morgan, so there will be some fireworks there. I'm picking cows by 12 or 14. Dairy Farmers to become a fortress again
Lol if only. Having a decent half partnering him was about time. Plus Bowens back too which adds a lot to their attack.
This game should be very interesting. Cowboys have a pretty good team on the park, but Manly are a great football team. For NQ, their match winners will be there big 4, while for Manly, I believe that their forwards will win the game for them. Look for the second phase play from the forwards with the Manly halves on their hip for that offload. Will be a good game, but I can see NQ getting the ponits here.
Just curious if you could tell me how the team sitting third last (thanks to the Storm) can be underrated? If anything they're continually overrated as everyone had them in their top 8 at the start of the season. Even I did, team on papaer only means so much.
They aren't given enough credit IMO. Thurston's a world beater, coupled with Bowen, Tonga, and the emergence of a great forward pack, they're about on par with the Panthers etc as just outside the top 4. Being decimated by injury doesn't help. They've used close to the most players so far in the comp IIRC
Credit is given where credit is due, they're coming 14th... Why should a team be given credit solely because they have good players?
They're tipped to come in the top 4 at the start of nearly every NRL season... how is that not giving their team on paper enough credit? The results speak for themselves, and it's not just this year if you only woke up yesterday....

Correction. Penrith always get tipped for the spoon no matter what the roster is. The team on paper doesn't deserve credit. It is total horse shit. They have Thurston, Mason, O'Donnell, Scott, Payne, Watts, Bowen and thats it. Most of the time the team is focused on the Bowen & Thurston combination. They are terrible. Their backline is the shittest in the NRL by far. Any team that has Rovelli in the team is shit.
Meathead, Rovelli hasn't played in a few weeks.... And i'd hardly call it bad.... Tonga's World Class, Bani's doing okay this season, Graham and Williams have been adequate
Needs the spoilers tag whipped on it within the next 5 minutes. I reckon this could be a really good game. I am hoping Bani is fairly solid so I don't get too pissed off watching this game. My prediction is that Hodkinson will have a good game and the players around him will deliver on what they have the potential to do giving Manly the win. Sorry Manly fans :ninja:
Leaning towards Manly but really looking forward to this game. Hoping it'll be a cracker. Thurston will be on fire but not sure if he can do it alone.
