For Season 3 I am interested to hear what people think should be done with the reserve league. I have made it known that I don't plan to run a reserve league last season for Season 3, as it didn't have much interest. There is likely to be even less interest next season due to the 5th club, which would mean even more fillers playing. I don't want there to be 0 reserve football, as I don't want interested blokes to just be sitting on the bench barely playing most of the time. My thoughts at this stage are to either just have 1 reserve game per round where it is just 2 sides playing against each other, completely mixed in. Or having 3 reserve teams, 2 teams made up of the reserves from 2 clubs and 1 with reserves from 1 club and free agents. All reserve games will just be friendlies, so they will not count towards a league but will still go towards player development.
I like the last suggestion. What happened with the landsharks/whatever the other team were called in SR was a good fit for the dynamic at the time.
Reckon something similar to bballsim would be good - reserve teams consisting of two teams combined. 5th team combines with the unsigneds.
