What a clusterfuck this has become. Feels good to see the Sharks shitting the bed so badly.

Did they just say that wasn't accidental offside because they didn't play at it?

Won't be anything this season unless we move Moylan to the back.

Shane's entire structure (and a vast amount of teams) falls apart with a link, ball player at fullback. Dugan and Holmes don't fit the set up back there at all.

Would you bring in Hodkinson to the halves?

    Yep.

Flanagan further down the track. He's far to green ATM on top being injured.

I agree but I feel like there's just not an easy answer to this with Cronulla's current squad. Moylan to fullback and Hodkinson to five-eighth is probably the least bad option, but it's still far from ideal, especially given how fucked Hodkinson's knees are these days.

To be fair Cronulla have come up agaisnt two of the better defensive sides in the opening rounds and they've got a relativley new spine that will take a few more rounds until we see their best footy.

I think Moylan is creative enough to carry someone like a Dugan at fullback. Yeh it's not ideal but a halves combo of Hodko and Townsend would be just as dry as having Dugan at the back IMO but you at least know with Dugan at the back you're pretty safe and he will give you yardage.

Players like Paulo, Graham and Lewis are definitely more than capable of playing a receiver role if they want to push Moylan 2 or 3 passes deep in attack.

I don't think dry is a bad thing for this team though. Flanagan's set doesn't require his halves to be anymore than severs of the ball to the likes of the link men (Graham, Lewis, fullback)

Yeah but as Wilson kind of alluded to, Cronulla's structure lends itself more to creativity at fullback than the halves. The halves play in so tight and flat that there's not heaps of opportunity to create from there. They need to either change this structure and have Brailey do more engaging of the markers and the centre-third forwards to do more passing, or change the fullback.
