That and half your bowling attack is poor IMO

    :fear:

In a hypothetical situation, how much do you think he will average if he were to play the whole season of CPL?

  3. Cribbage RG Cribb

Not gonna answer that or I'd have to do so for every similar question.

If he's not your 18th best player by the end of this though I'll be very, very surprised. Unless you sign more players who haven't played any games. :p

    Which half?
Harris, Lee, Mendis and Watson are all pretty top notch. Davies had a poor season but his record before that is pretty good. My first choice attack is pretty damn good.

  5. Baxter MJ Deane

    Davies and Lee
Harris will probably go OK, Mendis will go better than he is currently in RL. So they'll be alright. Watson hardly bowls.

  6. Ged GEC King

I don't see why you don't rate Brett Lee. Sure, he's retired from fc cricket but he is still bowling in one day stuff and he hasn't lost that much pace. On top of this, there wasn't a dramatic drop off in form for him before his retirement.

    Hurricanes CPL
    1. Herschelle Gibbs
    2. Tim Paine+
    3. Owais Shah
    4. Sachin Tendulkar
    5. Ashwell Prince
    6. Paul Collingwood (6)
    7. Shakib Al Hasan (4)
    8. Shahid Afridi (5)
    9. Stuart Broad (3)
    10. Andre Nel (2)
    11. Sreesanth (1)

Reckon that's pretty strong besides the opening batsmen. Paine opening is pretty stupid.

Probably the best looking back at them. Though there's not that much cricket behind Butterworth and Cameron so who knows. Doubt there's a better middle order.

    ______________

    Panthers CC
    1. AN Petersen
    2. M Di Venuto
    3. HM Amla
    4. MW Goodwin

    7. JM Bairstow
    8.VD Philander
    9.SR Clark
    10.NO Miller
    11. M Ntini

Disgraceful batting lineup. Stats might carry the bowling through but irl it's pretty poor. Clark and Ntini have both declined markedly and while Miller's stats are phenomenal, he's nowhere near as good as his record suggests.

    Here's a better middle order:

    4. Watson
    5. Sinclair
    6. Dussey
    7. Prior

  9. Julian BJ Taylor

    3. Kumar Sangakarra
    4. Mohammed Yousuf
    5. Misbah Ul-Haq

Yr not gonna get better than that IMO.

  10. Ged GEC King

Since when is 3 middle order? It's definitely the best 3,4,5.

  11. Hunter AD Hunt

    Cheers Julian.

  12. Julian BJ Taylor

    Aftershocks
    1 AJ Hall
    2 TM Dilshan

Worst opening partnership by the length of the straight. Hall is ****ing useless.

  13. Julian BJ Taylor

Didn't even look at what teams they were Hunt. Amla will carry you, he'll gun it.

As for your randoms at 7 and 8. Who knows.

  14. Ged GEC King

The Canes (Eds?) really need to trade a middle order bat for an opener.

  15. Incey BC Jacobs

Aftershocks middle order is fairly gun IIRC.

  16. Speirz DG Speirs

I had Taylor and Samaraweera together last time around, they've improved IRL since then, but I'm not sure how it'll turn out.

  17. Jabba HJ Bots

Yeah hall is an ify one. Might move my keeper guatam to opener. he has opened before. dilshan is gun though should get me off to a flyer.

  18. Ged GEC King

Looks like a few teams are after openers. I'm willing to trade any of Rogers, Puttick and Butt for the right middle order bat.

  19. Hunter AD Hunt

Deep down you knew it was me and just wanted to take a shot at me :p

  20. Incey BC Jacobs

    Yeah true.

My middle order lacks a real gun. But van Jaarsveld, Joyce and North should all be able to chip in a fair bit.
