Really clutching, we'll never know what would've happened if Hasler stayed as he didn't.

We do know what would've happened to Manly last year if they hadn't beat a top 4 side, that just so happened to be winning the comp, the exact thing you said wouldn't happen.

Manly are flying under the radar massively imo. They've moved into the top 4 and have on of the best sides, I called it earlier in the year that they'll win the comp.

Saying you should sack the best coach of the last 5 years because he's signed a deal with someone else is ridiculous, on it's face. Never mind the fact that Toovey would've been assistant coach anyway so if Hasler had struggled, they could've sacked him then and replaced him with Toovey. You wanted him sacked in November, a month after he'd just won his second premiership and made his fourth Grand Final in six years at said club.

It's idiotic and you know it.

What is in our favour is the fact we have a 4 point advantage and that the sides in the log jam dont have an easy run home either and play each other a heap. We have a positive differential too which is unlikely to be overcome by those sides.

Hopefully after playing quality teams for the next 3 rounds can raise our stock enough to beat the Panthers in the final round.

Can't understand fans wanting to limp in the finals like this just to make the finals. If you can't beat the teams going into the finals, you're not going to have any success in them.

You just never know on the day

Origin has royally fucked us this year. We're no chance now. Mind you, I never thought we were a particularly good side anyway. Be surprised if we remain in the 8. I do recall saying before Rd 1 that we could well be the lowest placed QLD side by the end of the year. We've got the Dogs, Manly, Melbourne and Penrith. We're fucked.

I'd much rather make the 8 and get bundled out than not make it at all.

This, we saw Parra defeat the Storm a week or so ago, anything can happen on the day.

Yeah but this on the day shit doesn't last. On their day, the Cowboys can beat anyone, but their day ain't gonna happen three weeks in a row.

We still have a 2 game advantage on the ladder, as well as a positive differential.

The side just needs to pull their finger out, however that is much easier said than done.

True, but I won't be surprised if, with these injuries and our current form, we only win one more game in the next month. We're in serious danger from the Titans, Knights and Tigers. Our positive differential ain't gonna last long either.

Just by glancing at the ladder, 3 of the sides on 22 points need to win 3/4 by decent margins while we lose 4/4 for us to shift out of the 8

It is unlikely, but it could happen, which is very worrying.

Doesn't matter because you won't go anywhere close to winning it.

Yeah most of the fringe teams losing this week helps the bronx

If we only win 1/4, we end up on 28. If the Tigers win tonight they're already within two points of us. If that's the case then they would only have to win 2/4. And the Titans or Knights would have to win 3/4. That's very possible, especially the Knights.

Pretty sure the Titans, with the exception of taking on the storm, have a pretty easy run home.

Nah. Melbourne in Melbourne. Manly and Parra at home are both danger games. And they could well lose to Penrith down in Sydney.

Ahh yep, forgot Manly was in there and I guess Parra are starting to click a bit. Whens Bird back?

Looking at it optimistically, if we jag an upset and then beat Penrith, we could finish top 4. With the new finals format, 5th and 6th spot is still alright because you get the home final.
