I have a somewhat sympathy for the notion that he's being used incorrectly. Problem is, he wasn't exactly good on the fringes when under Bellamy either. And the cunt is so lazy in defence, as Emm said.

Yeah he's great at club level which is what perplexes me when they take him from that edge role when he's at rep level.

If you want a mobile backrower who can hold his own in the middle etc. imo they should just play Bird and Lewis at the same time along with whoever they've still got on at prop. At least those two have played fuckloads of middle third footy at various levels and know whats going on. We'd be lightwieght but in the 5-10mins prior to the end of each half that extra mobility can be valuable and those two would do so much better job than Creagh and you could just use Creagh on the left edge whilst one of Lewis/Bird gets pushed up.

Lewis tends not to get low enough up the middle and lacks a bit of leg drive against better opposition. It's one thing to run at Taniela Lasalo and Casey Mcguire and get over the advantage line, a whole other ball game to be met by Cameron Smith, Dave Shillington Nate Myles and co. Lewis can be pretty devastating on the edges though, I think he his superior to Creagh in that respect and can also have a better impact off the bench.

Basically with the backrowers picked, there's no room for Creagh.

Still a good side but certainly a lot less intimidating.

I'd say Te'o is more intimidating/agressive than Taylor and Thaiday is back also. I'd say the only ones not intimidating are Parker and Gillett.

    this.

Yep, any slight advantage from picking Inglis over Slater (if you think there is one) is quickly canceled out by the fact that Nielsen & Parker/Myles will stunt their attack on the left fringe. They've still yet to crack our left hand side defence for any tries and the only two tries they haven't scored off kicks came from the Thurston/Slater/Inglis combo. Just gonna have to keep it real tight around the middle.

Regardless of the player Slater is and can be, he hasn't played well this series at all. Inglis will get a lot more ball at fullback and if he plays well that'll be a huge improvement on what Slater has offered. Personally, I don't see it as removing Inglis from the left and weakening our strongest attacking side. I see it as Inglis getting to play both sides of the ruck. He'll still have plenty of opportunity to run at Morris and Carney. But he'll also get the chance to run at Pearce and Jennings in right side backline movements. Apart from that, I think Inglis's passing game on the right will be so much better than Slater's - It should lead to an overlap or two thanks probably to Hayne whose defence has, regrettably, not been exploited nearly as much as it should've.

As a NSWmen, I don't think you're going to like Inglis at fullback, one bit.

As a NSWmen I don't like having Inglis at centre one bit.

Haha. You're going to like him at fullback even less because he's going to get more ball.

  15. Ged GEC King

That was a hypothetical if Scott was ruled out. ie. only 3 props in the side.

  16. Maroon_Faithful M Faithful

Ah okay. Soz. Still. STFU about McGuire :p

More worried about Smith & Inglis playing direct around in and around the ruck rather than on the fringes, I'd be surprised if their combos clicked straight away on the fringes. The majority of it will be off the cuff style crap which I'm more comfortable with tbh. Thurston & Cronk failing to click together so far just compounds it more.

I hope Thurston plays more 2nd reciever in game 3 than he has done thus far.
